Quilting Hints and Tips-How to Use Quilting Rulers when one isn’t wide or long enough
Another in the series of videos talking about how to use your quilting rulers in every day situations. In this video, I need to cut wadding 9″ x 16″ My square 15 1/2″ ruler isn’t long enough to be able to do a single cut, so I use it along with my 6 1/2″ wide long ruler. I line up the markings of my long ruler with the straight edges of the wadding. I need to add 2 1/2″ extra width from the square ruler. That goes to the left hand side of my long ruler. (this is for right handed people. For left handers everything is the other way) I’ve put my rulers side by side and now can cut along the edge of the long ruler Finally turn my piece around to straighten the final edge.
