Free Appliqué Flower Patterns, Just For You

Both the Daisy Chain and the Appliquéd Flower Block use raw edge appliqué.  If this is the first time you’ve tried appliqué, these blocks are the perfect size to try both free motion embroidery and quilting.  Finishing at 12″, they will form a lovely centrepiece for a wall hanging or cushion.  You could use them as inspiration to design your own blocks and create a quilt.

These patterns are very versatile. Although I’ve done these blocks as raw edge appliqué using free motion embroidery, they can also be made using blanket stitch.  This can be done on the machine or by hand.
