A Passion for Sewing, a Passion for Sharing
Sewing, especially quilting, isn’t just a hobby for me – it’s woven into the very fabric of who I am. I can’t imagine a life without the calming rhythm of the sewing machine or the thrill of seeing a project come together.
This passion has led me on a fulfilling journey. With over 8 years of experience in the post-16 education sector, I’ve had the privilege of supporting and teaching students, both online and in the classroom (nearly 10 years online teaching!). For the past 4 and a half years, I’ve run my very own sewing studio, and I’ve been actively involved in community sewing initiatives for the past 3 years. I also hold an enhanced DBS for your peace of mind.
My love for sewing began at a young age, nurtured by my mum’s creativity. From a young crafter, I’ve grown into a confident sewist who can tackle any project, from initial concept to finished piece. Whether it’s drafting my own pattern, rummaging through my fabric stash, or carefully repurposing materials to keep memories alive, I find joy in the entire process. This resourcefulness not only keeps costs down but also breathes new life into pre-loved materials.
My mission is to empower everyone, from complete beginners to seasoned stitchers, to embrace sewing with confidence. Whether you’re mending a garment, creating a brand new heirloom, or simply learning a valuable skill, sewing offers a wealth of benefits. It’s a practical skill that allows you to fix, upcycle, and create – all while developing lifelong skills and the satisfaction of making something uniquely your own.
