I can't tell you how long this quilt has been in the making, but it has to be at least three years. The top was put together in 2012 or 2013 as part of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge. At the time I didn't have the backing or batting to get it finished and it got put to one side.

I finally took it out last month and ordered the backing and wadding. The quilting was all done in the ditch and I really like the look of it. You can see it more clearly on the back. I've used the backing fabric to do the binding which has been hand finished.
It's laid out on my double bed here, but it's a decent size to go on the top of a single bed. It could also be used as a lap quilt and would be the perfect gift for someone that loves tigers.
I do have a few more tops that got put in the same safe place so I think I'll be aiming to get a few more finished this year. The next one is going to be a small one and I have everything I need to get it finished.
