With the craft club and each class, there is the support of a Facebook group where everyone gets to celebrate success and ask for help when needed. Every one does their bit to encourage and support everyone else.
One of our club members is learning to knit and is using the Learn to Knit Class. From the videos, she knew exactly what to do but was having trouble keeping hold of the needles. When you've never knit before, there seems to be a lot to keep hold off at the same time as manoeuvering the yarn. It can be very frustrating and that's where the group comes in. She was able to come into the group and get support from other club members and, thanks to modern technology, we were able to have a video call to have a chat. Look at the result:
I'd often wondered if teaching knitting online was possible, but each time I've run the class, it's proved to be very effective. With the use of recorded and live video calls, it's almost as good as having someone sat beside you. You get to learn in the comfort of your own home at a time convenient to you, as well as having the advantage of having group support.
Would you like to give it a go? All the details are here and we can't wait to cheer you onto success.
