So this one could have been an absolute disaster. I had an idea for a dress, and on paper it looked good, in practice, it was far from good. I'm just glad I hadn't had to pay for the fabric, so making mistakes doesn't feel so bad.
The first incarnation was made, tried on and looked hideous, so back to the drawing board. Maybe taking out some of the fabric would help.
The second incarnation was made, tried on, and although not as bad as version one, was far from being wearable. Back to the drawing board.
The third incarnation turned the dress into a skirt, it's wearable, but it'll be back to the drawing board as far as that version of a dress is concerned. I do have an idea, but time will only tell if it gets as far as being a wearable design.
In the meantime, I have a few days to try and get something made for July. I have a feeling it might just be catch up time again in August.
