A lot of my generation grew up with parents and grandparents that had a passion for mending things. They passed those useful skills down to us, but there seemed to be a generation that just didn't know how or even want to mend things. It was easy and cheap to just go out and replace things. However, things seem to be changing, mending has become fashionable again so much so, the month of May has been designated Mend it May.
You may have seen, I've been set an 'extreme' mending challenge for this month. It wasn't planned, it was just how it all fell into place. Before getting started on that, I thought I'd ease myself in with a couple of mending projects of my own.
