Is 'me time' important?
Having me time is essential to relieving stress and gives you the opportunity to recharge your batteries. It's essential for your health and happiness.
Lorraine Thomas, Chief Executive of the Parent Coaching Academy said, "If you are the engine room of the family it's important to nurture yourself." "It's not a luxury, it's a must which you shouldn't feel guilty about."
If we are to successfully care for our families, look after others and makes a success of our work, we need that time to recharge. You can't take care of others, if you don't take care of yourself.
Talking with one of my club members last week, she said that the monthly project gave her the excuse to have to me time without feeling guilty. Me time, shouldn't be a guilty pleasure, it's a necessity and I can't think of a better way to have me time than to combine it with creativity. ( See my blog post about the health benefits of being creative here.)
Even in the world of craft, slow crafting is known to have it's benefits. Embroidery definitely comes under that umbrella and that will be the focus of this month's class. We'd love you to come and join us, you'll find all the details here.
