I am blown away by what has been achieved in this month's applique class. If you would like to have a go, you can still come and join us and make an applique cushion, by booking your place here.
Nicola has given us our showcase item this week. Nicola is one of our club member's and has been doing the appliqué class. She's really pushed herself with this one. She's gone for her design, chosen to do letters with a circle, which is one of the harder shapes to choose. I'm so proud of what Nicola has achieved since getting her machine earlier in the year.
If Nicola has inspired you to have a go, you'll find all the details of the class here.

For those of you that have known me for a while, you know I like to reuse as much as I can. Sometimes, making the quilts and cushions, you end up with lots of wadding pieces that aren't quite big enough. To get round this, you can join them together and in this video, I demonstrate how this is done
Are you into papercraft and scrapbooking? Hobbycraft have a great new line of papers and embellishments called Bee Happy. I could be tempted to try some.
From Deramores have 20% off DK yarn plus double points for a limited time.
The Village Haberdashery have announced their pop up Maker's Marketsstarting in October. They will be in the West Hampsted store on Sundays, so if you're in the area, they may well be worth a visit.
I love the Malabrigo line of yarns and Love Knitting have new lines now in stock. I can tell you from experience, they are lovely yarns to knit with and they make gorgeous socks. I have a pair available here.
