First, I had to trim back the wadding. I was going to bring the backing round to form the binding, so that needed trimming then pinning. Bear decided he'd help, and not to be outdone, Finley decided he'd take the trimmings.
Next thing, was to get it in to be washed and dried. I love the crinkled look and with the thick batting, the ties now really come into their own. It has the look and feel of a traditional quilt, especially as the backing is from a recycled duvet cover. I'm really pleased with how it's turned out, and it feels great to actually get another quilt made.
This is the perfect size for cuddling on the sofa, or for use on a single bed, or even as a decorative topper to a double bed.
