Back to the cushion, I liked the idea for grading the colours from light to dark, and being blue, it had to be sky or sea, and the sea won. I thought it would give an idea of the water getting deeper and deeper. I cut the fabric, three strips for each colour, then joined them together. Using the wavy stitch on the sewing machine, I quilted two lines in each strip, each one different to the last.
I remembered to piece the pocket in with the backing this time, stuffed the cushion, then sewed around the edge forming a faux piping. A book in the pocket completes the project.
In the meantime, it's time for the next stop on the blog tour. Today we are visiting Amanda. I have it on good authority that there is a competition. I'm off to check it out, so I'll see you there shortly. Click on the badge for directions.
