I really like how this turned out. This is another in my recycling projects, this time using a hand towel, and some fabric found at a charity shop. I have a lot of this fabric, as I also found a duvet cover made from it too. The idea was to make a baby bag, but with the towel, I thought changing mat.
This style is handy for when you just need something quick to grab, and you have the essentials inside.
The bottom has a lined pocket for storing a spare nappy and some wet wipes, then it all folds over and is fastened with a button.
The button was found in my button tin, and I made the loop for embroidery thread loops with blanket stitch to give it strength and hold it together.
This should be in the shop by Monday, and a baby bag will be following in due course, but today I will be at Dalton for a craft fair.
