Each piece was cut out and the edges were overlocked to stop them from fraying and to make sure they seams would keep their integrity longer. After that it was a production line of pinning and sewing. Each of the edges have a generous hem allowance and should sit nicely on the arms.
Today, they will get a good press and then all the thread bits will be removed. Once that's done, they'll all be packed up and sent on their way to Scotland. I hope they will make their new owners very happy.
