These are now packaged and ready to send, ten strawberries with hanging loops. Daniel said the pale ones were parsnips! The brief was to have them all different, so that's what I've done.
Seepage is a normal with these type of pincushions, that's why you don't get many surviving from the early days. However, it seems to be more noticeable with the finer filling. I've tried lining the strawberries, but it doesn't make a lot of difference. As long as thread is not being drawn through, these should still last for some time.
I just have to hope the lady that ordered them will be happy with them. Personally, I think it's such a shame we can no longer get the coarser emery here.
