The lining had been cut in preparation, so it meant I could go straight to the sewing machine. Isewed it up using french seams, to give them strength and to stop them from fraying. Another insert was made from dream cotton batting and covered with the yellow lining. Both were then put into the bag, and I machine stitched in place.
The handles are hand stitched in place, and all I need to finish the bag is a buckle. That has been the hardest part so far. I've not yet found one that is the right size, in the right colour. All being well, I can get out next week, and visit a couple of shops that might have some. Attaching the buckle is the last step for this bag, and I can't wait to get it finished.
