Well, here is the cardigan, complete with button. Yes, the trusty button tin came up trumps and in the end, I had the choice of three buttons.
The photo on the left shows the shaping detail in the body and the tiers on the back. The tiers add quite a bit to the weight of the cardigan, so I'm imagining it will be quite cosy in the winter months.
The cardigan is knitted in soft lilac, 100% pure Egyptian cotton, and will fit a UK size 16. The pattern is from Sirdar-Cotton DK 7215.
I may adapt the pattern, and do it again without the tiers. If I do, you'll be the first to see it.
