This is my selection. There are a variety of whitework, cutwork, embroidered, and crochet pieces. My task is to get on my thinking cap and use these sensitively and give them new life. As I do so, you will get to see them in their individual glory.
It doesn't happen very often, but I just wanted to share a "proud mummy moment". Last night, we had to go to a celebration evening at college to recognise the achievements of the 14-16 students.
Some of you may be aware, that both my boys have been home educated, and then at 14, they've gone into college and gone onto courses, usually for those aged 16 and above, so it was with great pleasure that I saw them both collect certificates and gift cards in recognition of their enthusiasm and hard work. This was the first year that young students doing full time courses at the college were included in the awards. For me, the comments of their personal tutors that nominated them for their awards, was most heartwarming.
The downside will be the boys reminding me that they are 'Outstanding' and expecting special treatment. Do you think they'll be disappointed it was for one night only and that everything is back to normal today?
