It all started with a friend of the boys. He's become part of the family, so much so, he sometimes gets the same tellings off as the boys. One night, he got a message that second mummy (me) wasn't happy and he sent a text back saying- "I'll just buy her a ball of wool and she'll be happy"!
Next time I saw him, the first thing I said was, "Buy me a ball of wool, indeed!" One of the girls with them then promised to buy me a ball of wool, no matter how many times I said I didn't need any.
A few weeks ago, the boys came back with a ball of wool from her, so I said I'd make her something with it. Jonathan decided wrist warmers would be the perfect gift. For someone that doesn't knit, she has great taste, and she bought a lovely wool and in a lovely colour. I just hope it's her colour.
I finished them in time for them to take them to a party last weekend as she was also going to attend. Unfortunately, although they took them, they forgot to give them to her. Shame really, she might have enjoyed using them this week as we've got snow. Instead, she'll have to wait until the next time we see her.
