I've just added the finishing touches to the featured class for August. It's the perfect project if you enjoy having eco friendly solutions to problems. If you have pets, smelly teenagers (remember, I have two boys), or if you have a cupboard for sweaty shoes you'll love to have a bicarbonate of soda deodoriser. You can find all the details about the class here. There is a bonus project to go with this month's class too. We'll be breaking the class down into weekly instalments so that it's easy to do with limited time. What are you waiting for, book your place today.
I just love this make from Lynda. Lynda made this small duffle/drinks bag as part of our recycled swap this month. This started life as a place mat and Lynda has worked her magic and transformed it in a most wonderful way. I can't wait to see all the other makes as they arrive at their destinations.
If you would like to get involved in swaps like this, please do come and join the Get Creative With Loopy group. The next swap will be after the children go to school, but it's a great group to be part of if you enjoy being creative.

This weeks helpful tip comes from a previous Ask Loopy session. Mixing crafts is becoming more common so Ann's question about adding a fabric skirt to a crocheted bodice is quite relevant. It would also apply to adding a skirt to a knitted bodice. I do hope you will find it useful
Did you see the new craft show on Chanel 4 this week? Craft it Yourself goes out on a Tuesday night, I'm sure you can catch it On Demand if you missed it. If you did see it, I'd love to know your thoughts about it, good or bad. Has it inspired you to try something different?
We all know craft kits make life easier when it comes to crafting. Deramores have kits from under £10 upwards, some are discounted. They make gifts for yourself and friends who enjoy knitting or crochet. I do love the centipede draught excluder!
If you are attending the Festival of Quilts, Cotton Patch are offering a pre-order service. If you pre-order goods to the value of more than £20, you will get a £2 voucher to use at the show. There is also a giveaway to get two free entry tickets.
We all know that fabric can be quite expensive. Pelenna Patchworks are now offering bargain fabrics at £7 per m. These are often discontinued lines so make sure you order plenty to complete your project.
Talking of fabric, I Want Fabric are having a summer sale with many items at half price.
I think I've enabled you enough for one week. I'll be busy getting the new class out this week, I'd love it if you came and joined in. I have videos to prepare for new projects in the pipeline and I should be back to the sewing machine. I hope to show you what I've been making next week.
