Since these photos have been taken, the binding has been sewn on and all the ends have been tied in and snipped.

This quilt has been hanging around for a very long time, so before the final photos are taken, a good wash and a turn in dryer were needed.  By the time that happened, it was too late and dark for photos, so that will be one of the first tasks for today.

My table is now very clear, which means it will be easier to work on some of the other projects.
I really needed the space on my sewing table to do other things, so I couldn't put off quilting the Annie quilt any longer.  The quilting has taken two days to do, but it is done.

This quilt was the second big quilt I ever pieced.  The original piecing was definitely not brilliant, but by the time I made it into a top, I'd worked out how to rescue it with the sashings and cornerstones and tie everything together.  It's been quite interesting to see how far my quilting skills have come since the beginning.

It is always good to get a large project finished and put away. More space makes for better projects.

Isn't it amazing how much we can suddenly get done when we run out of room to put anything!!! lol. Sounds just like me.
Cheers, Anita.

Well done you! It looks lovely! It reminds me of my Polka Dot Girls quilt. My skills improved so much while I was working on that one! :0)

It's always lovely to have a finish and a clear desk ready for the next project.
